Hair is a big part of identity, like
fashion and style we use our hairstyles to reveal our personality and
facial features. For a long time, I didn’t want to touch my hair as I
get comfortable, similarly to other aspects of my life. I was afraid to
take the risk and have fun and most importantly experiment with my long
locks in case I would dislike the final result. But living in
self-isolation has taught me to be selfless and not to be afraid to take
the plunge to try something new. When it came to hair inspiration, I’ve
either had ombré or slightly balayage hairstyles which consisted of
caramel, copper, and slightly blonde tones. But this time I wanted to go
for a more sun-kissed look as I wanted to the brightness to warm up my
complexion and give me the motivation to experiment more with my sense
of style. I knew that this type of hair colouring technique is low
maintenance and that my natural hair will grow out and blend with the
rest of the warmer shades in my hair so there’s no need to dye my hair
again for a very long time. However, the main thing I took from this
experience is that change is good and that it gives is good and that it
gives us the chance to progress in our self-growth journey and grow in
confidence.
