My 27th birthday may have gone like a flash, but I was so excited to find out where my mystery destination was as I knew it would be a location I had never been to before in the UK. Two hours went by and then bam...I saw a sign for Chester.
We started the day going shopping in Chesire Oaks, which is an outlet in the area which has discount designer items, including Burberry! After browsing a range of stores, it was time to head to our accommodation and boy I was surprised as we were staying at the beautiful DoubleTree Hotel, which had a spa! Unfortunately, they had no spare slots for any spa treatments but we did manage to use their pools, jacuzzis, steam room, and sauna, which was lovely.
Apart from taking the time out and relaxing in the hotels luxurious facilities, I ventured out and saw what Chester had to offer. On my first night in the city, I headed out for BBQ dinner and cocktails before I retreated to bed after a long day over traveling. I then spent my final day at Chester Zoo and had a complimentary meal at a Greek restaurant in the city.
I loved this trip away not only to have some quality time with my boyfriend, but I loved the cities tutor style buildings, cobbled floor, and evening scenery. It's a place I hope I get the chance to revisit.
